Removing Unwanted Objects from Photos in Photoshop and PSE |
|||||
Begin by opening a photo and making a copy of it by pressing Ctrl J (Mac: Cmd J) on your keyboard. To use Content-Aware fill in Elements 9.0 and above, get the Spot Healing Brush tool. In the Options bar, tick the radio button by Content Aware. Click and sweep over the item you want to remove to activate feature. It’s almost magical the way Photoshop will fill your selection with background. You can use the same method in the full version of Photoshop or you can get the Lasso tool and make a selection around the object you want to remove from the photo. Select Edit > Fill. In the Contents drop-down menu, choose “Content-aware.” Click “OK,” then Ctrl D (Mac: Cmd D) to remove the selection. With Content-Aware Fill, the background is intelligently filled using the image surroundings. |
