Use a Keyboard Shortcut to Shut Down Photoshop and PSE

When you are ready to shut down Photoshop or Elements, pressing Ctrl Q (Mac: Cmd Q) on your keyboard will do the job. All saved documents will close and you’ll be given the chance to save any changes to the other open documents.

If your software suddenly begins shutting down, it’s possible that you’ve hit the shortcut keys accidentally. This happens sometimes when trying to select “All” with Ctrl A (Mac: Cmd A.) If that happens to you, now you’ll know.
