How do I use Anna Aspnes' Curled Paper Edges? |
|||||
1. Place paper centered (edge to edge) on the layout. 2. Place torn/curled edge on the layout MAKING SURE it is edge to edge. Occasionally you have to expand it to about 102% or so, just to make sure it goes to the edge. 3. Select the Magic Wand tool (W) and put a check mark next to Contiguous in the options bar. 4. Target the torn/curled edge layer in the Layers palette. 5. Click once on the side of the curl that you want to delete from the paper. it should put "marching ants" around everything to that side of the edge. If it selects the entire page, your torn/curled edge does not go "edge to edge" and you need to enlarge it a bit. 6. With the selection active (marching ants), target the paper layer and press the Delete key. 7. Select both the torn/curled edge layer and the now-cut paper layer by Cmd/Ctrl-clicking each in the Layers palette. 8. Click the Link icon to link them together. Now they can be resized/repositioned/rotated as one object. If you KNOW you won't change anything, you can also select both layers and merge them together to make them one layer. |
