This mini lesson focuses using selections and transformations to “bend” custom shadows, making elements appear lifted off the page and making your designs look more realistic.

You will learn how to:

  • Load and recolor brushes
  • Create a custom drop shadow
  • Bend drop shadows to make them look more realistic
This lesson includes:
A 9-page, full-color pdf with screen shots (in PS CS3) and step-by-step instructions for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements users
One patterned paper, one solid paper, two stamped stitches brushes, and one sticker, all designed by Katie Pertiet

You will need:
Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements
Adobe Acrobat

While I do provide every step necessary to complete the techniques, it is helpful to have some experience with opening and closing files and a basic knowledge of the Photoshop or Photoshop Elements workspace.

One of my absolute favorite tutorials! A must have, if you ask me!

Like so many of the other tutorials, this gives you easy instructions for adding that little subtle detail that makes a world of difference. I probably will continue to use the drop shaodow layer feature, but this tutorial allows you to do stuff that simply cannot be done with the drop shadow layer style. I would recommend this to anyone considering purchasing it! Well worth the money.

THE very best info about how to make shadows look real. Bend it like Cassie will take you to new heights with your pages. I use it all the time. She is a fine clear teacher. Definitely worth the investment.
