How’d They Do That? No. 21: Painting Vintage Photos

This lesson focuses on a specific technique for adding color to a vintage sepia toned or black and white photo to achieve a “painted on” effect.

This lesson includes:

• A 4-page, full-color pdf with screen shots (in PS CS3) and step-by-step instructions for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements users
• Two papers, one vintage photo, one button, one journaler, one page wrap, and one title, all designed by Katie Pertiet

Difficulty:
While I do provide every step necessary to complete the techniques, it is helpful to have some experience with opening and closing files and a basic knowledge of the Photoshop or Photoshop Elements workspace.
