Multitasking at DesignerDigitals

Man On! Katie let me drive the DD bus today so watch out! We just got back from seeing our brand new granddaughter at only a few days old. Very nice. I just don't remember my daughter being that small. Even with all the traveling we still found time to get almost 40 new items in the store.

Congratulations to Mary Rogers and quilter422 who both won our Summer's End Contest. They both will receive the prize in their choice of colors.

Starting this coming Thursday (September 10th) at 6pm EST our 3rd quarterly sale will begin with every regular item in the store marked down 30%. The sale will continue until 6am EST on Tuesday, September 15th. We will be having all day chats with freebies on Saturday starting at 8am EST and running through Midnight. These are always fun and something to join in on.

Make sure to join us on Facebook, Twitter and Flicker for news, challenges and our Daily Photo events!

And, of course, we have 2 NEW 25 cent items for today and tomorrow ONLY! Don't Miss them!

Adobe Photoshop or Elements Tip of the Week:

Multitasking; How to make adjustments to more than one layer at a time

You can also watch this tip on video on our blog: Digital Scrapbooking Tips and Tricks: How to make adjustments to more than one layer at a time Video

With today's hectic lifestyles, we are all looking for ways to get more done in less time. When you are working in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, you can multitask by making changes to several layers at one time.

Begin by holding the Ctrl key (Mac: Cmd key) as you select all of the layers you want to adjust. Next, hold the Ctrl and the Shift key (Mac: Cmd + Shift) as you click on the thumbnails of each of those layers in the Layers Palette.

Finally, select Layer > New Adjustment Layer and choose an adjustment like Black and White, Hue/Saturation, or Brightness/Contrast. When you make the adjustment, Photoshop and PSE will apply it to all of the selected layers ... multitasking at its finest!

Have a great week and we'll see you at DesignerDigitals!
