It can happen in the best of families. This has been a page in the making a long time (in my head), and I think I am finally ready to let go of it. I live with an intelligent, responsible, capable, loving man who for a long time had uncontrollable temper outbursts, which put a heavy toll on us. Until we realized it actually was a rather benign medical problem that could be relieved with therapy. And for the last year I can finally begin to relax a little. Which is a good thing. And we are healing the wounds. This is a page about all those emotions I would experience. I was uncertain whether to post this at all, but then I thought perhaps it could be a good reminder that it CAN happen in the best of families. And scrapbooking is not all about the pink rosy days full of laughter.

Your writing is so full of emotion. You express yourself so well. I am glad that things are getting better. It gives hope to anyone who feels hopeless. People can change, we can all improve, overcome and become better.

Wonderful page. The design expresses very well your feelings. I have made a similar heritage page about things that had hurt me in the past and I was the same uncertain as you, whether to post it or not, but as you write scrapbooking is not only for pink rosy days. Believe me time is the best doctor. Life is not always an ice cream to lick it as the priest of our churh uses to say, think that tomorrow everything will be better.

You are brave to confront these difficult, conflicting emotions honestly and strong to work through it with your family. The page is beautifully done.

Thank you for being brave and sharing this- there is such value in getting the "not so pretty" side on a layout- it will remind you how far you both came from this later on... and probably help your kids understand things that may have confused them in their early years. Your design is perfect for the journaling.

OMG this is strong - but you are right - it does happen more than we would think, but you are strong enough to make it through the tough times. The scrapping will hopefully help. You hang on to that hope, and there is always hope there.

Oh, Aino! This is incredible! Is this more of your insomnia scrapping? Your pages are amazing.

Aino, you are a strong woman. I'm glad you're using this as a form of therapy. It's beautifully done, and I bet it's helping not only you, but maybe someone else out there, too.
