I have been meaning to do this one for such a long time! Smile
Journaling reads:
When I was younger, I always took these mountains for granted. I can’t count how often I would hear my mother say, “Look at the mountains! Aren’t they beautiful?” and of course my response would be, “Yeah, sure, they look great mom!” I really didn’t take in the beauty as much as she did. I had other things to think about. Like,“ does my boyfriend like me, what will I get on my math test?, really, who cares about the mountains? they are just..mountains” Ever since my husband and I moved out in the country, I have been taken back to the real beauty of these majestic mountains. They have always been there and yet, I never took the time to REALLY notice them until now. I think I have taken 100’s of photos of the same mountain range. Every day I am taken in by the beauty and tell my girls, “Just look at those beautiful mountains” And you know what response I get from them? “Yep, they are mom” and their interest is instantly elsewhere.I will never get enough of these beautiful mountains.

I love the way mountains look different every day, at every time of day and in every different weather situation. You've really captured their changing personalities in your beautiful photos.
I guess sometimes it take a little aging to appreciate the view out the window!
Beautiful page. Smile

Wow- Crissy this is stunning! When I lived in Texas, I hated how flat it was, I missed my mountains and foothills! Beautiful!

I remember my mom pointing out the wild flowers in our woods at the cabin and stopping to listen when birds called out to each other. I never understood why she did that until years later when I started doing the very same thing. Your mountains are very beautiful and I love that you never tire of photographing the changing scenes you witness.

Absolutely gorgeous, Crissy! Sometimes we need some distance before we can appreciate things, don't we? I live in flat Florida, but heaven to me is the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC. I never tire of looking at them and would love to have a house up there.

Stunning photography! I live on the front range and also love the daily views of mountains and clouds. Yesterday it was cloudy so all you could see of the mountains was a pale blue silhouette.
