My son had to make 40 crosses for his confirmation class.
Journaling: "Cole, what a remarkable journey you are beginning in your life. You are in the Sixth grade and have begun the Confirmation classes at First United Methodist Church. The commitment you made is to attend all of the classes which are held on Sunday mornings with a continuation of small groups on Sunday evenings. The classes began in January and will end with the final class and church service confirmation on May 3, 2009. You are learning about the bible, the church and what it means to be a follower of Christ. You are forming life long friendships with other fellow Christians. The classes go in depth about the function of the Methodist church. As a group, you will visit other religious services such as Catholic, Baptist and Jewish. You will also have a quick study/overview of the entire bible. My prayer for you is to know Christ and the sacrifices he has made for the human race. I want you to know that you can trust in Christ and He will always be there. I want you to be a good christian and follow in his footsteps. This is the best gift I can give you. Love Mom"
