I am buzzing with Castle photos Smile I must get them scrapped!! It could be a late night...
journaling reads;
Where you are standing was built in the 12th century. Although the last inhabitants looking from that very window were prisoners of the Napoleonic Wars - late 1700’s.
They slept in hammocks here and carved their names and the date on the walls, leaving what was most likely their last mark.
We have run our fingers over the carved names and exclaimed at the dates. Not the first time I’ve wished walls could talk and tell us all they have seen.
You are standing in, on and amongst such history, Georgia.

Gorgeous photos, Mel. They capture the timelessness of the castle so well, especially with the masking in the top photo. Another beautify!

You are rockin' tonight, Mel! Another gorgeous page -- your shots of the castle are stunning, and I love the one of Georgia from behind.

Unbelievable Mel. How can you not be struck by the sheer history? Love these photos and you did them justice with the page.

You're on Gallery Standouts. You got me three ways with this. It's preserving our history (which I'm nuts for as well), it's brilliantly laid out -- and you're a Hampshire girl (that ALONE rocks!)
