Christmas Eve
This was soooo hard! It took me forever, but I am really glad I did it. Christmas was hard this year, because we had good friends lose a family member in a car accident. I have been struggling how to document that, as it overshadowed the holiday. Thanks to Debbie and her Sense and Sensibility workshop for helping me work through this. This is for Be Real: Meaning lesson. Journaling: “Merry Christmas” Kris said as she walked out our front door. With tears in my eyes I wished her a merry Christmas too, knowing that it would be anything but. Kris’s husband was killed in a car accident 5 days before. Kris is Bill’s daughter. Bill and MB brought her and the 3 kids to our annual Christmas Eve brunch. I was so thankful that we could help in a small way by providing a meal and listening to their stories as they reminisced about the husband and father they had just lost. We fed about 30 friends and neighbors that morning, but this memory will stay with me for a very long time.
