A glimpse of our world a few weeks ago.

Take Two Tags,
font is my old remington.
After the ice storm, the trees appeared as if
they were draped in diamonds. The pine branches
are the stuff of stories from old, beckoning the
timid woodland creatures to them for shelter and
food. The birds are silent this morning, and if I
had to guess, I'd say they were too stunned to
sing. We drove to church and took in the wonder
of the world, knowing that as the temps rose
that morning, the next time we saw these trees
they would be devoid of their
thick coat. So we try, sometimes,
to live in the moment.
