My very long journaling:
While preparing our Thanksgiving Dinner, I heard a beautiful song by Darius Rucker called ďIt Wonít Be Like This For LongĒ. The words immediately spoke to me and that evening, while relaxing on the couch, I found and immediately downloaded the song. A few days later, as I was doing my usual housework, including several loads of laundry, itjust came to me that instead of looking the mounds of laundry only as a chore, I should focus more on what the piles of laundry say to me. That dress shirt...I have a husband that serves God. Those dirty jeans...I have a 15-year-old son that works hard at his job. That muddy shirt...I have a 13-year-old son that spends hours exploring down at the creek. My many loads of laundry mean that I have a family to care for. And it goes beyond the laundry. As I clean the kitchen, I can be thankful for the food we have in plenty. As I clean bathrooms, I can be glad we have indoor plumbing. One day, I wonít have many loads of laundry to do and my house will stay clean longer. But thatíll mean my boys have left home and so for now, Iím thankful for my daily house chores.
