A random little story from our last days in Alaska.

Journaling reads:
I didn't think I had one until 20 May 2008. Luke was hangng from the "arc" in the play park behind our house. I didn't think. I simply reacted and found myself sprinting through the yard, in spite of a bad back, to rescue him. I rememeber the look of fear on his face and allowed him to drop into my arms regardless of consequence. The pain in my back was somehow lessened by the fact that this proves that a motherhood instinct is in me afterall. (May 2008)
