An original copy of the Declaration of Independence
was on display for six hours at the main library in Memphis.
It was a rare opportunity to learn a bit of history.

Daddy was able to join us, as we went late in the day and he
left work a bit early.

Most inspiring was the dvd presentation of the history
of how the copy was found and why it was making a
tour of the United States.

Some of you children are too young to understand
the importance of what you saw that day.

But maybe you will look back one day, and
learn anew what it means to be a patriot.

And an American.
