a revised layout of my favorite cookie recipe (same one I shared last year, as it's really the only favorite cookie recipe I have, LOL!)

The original recipe is from BHG Jan 2000 issue. No decorating ingredients/instructions because these cookies don't last us that long, LOL!

They are pretty much really yummy chocolate butter crisp cookies. YUM!!

Chocolate Buttons

1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup all-purpose flour

-mix together butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla
-beat in baking soda and flour {stir in by hand if needed}
-roll to about 1/16-inch thickness
-cut out circles on a lightly floured surface
-place on ungreased cookie sheet

**375° oven. Bake about 5 minutes {or until the edges are firm}
