Jounaling: This beautiful little calico kitten invited herself to come to live with us in October and although we didn't know we needed a new kitty, she had another idea! A few days later, little Anderson came to visit and named her Marigold Muffin and then Callie came to visit and taught her to play basketball. We decided that we did indeed need this sweet little thing and completely fell in love with her. She loved to play hide-and-go-seek with papa in the monkey grass and climbed on the bicycles and in the hemlock trees . . . she loved to drink milk and the kitten kibbles and treats!

The rest of the story is that little Marigold Muffin didn't live with us very long. We were away for Thanksgiving and had someone come to our house each day to check on her and put out fresh food and milk for her. When we came home, our sweet kitten wasn't here. We think that a large rogue cat we would see sometimes in our fields may have run her off. We called all of our our neighbors and the animal shelter to have them keep an eye out for her, but had no results. For a kitten we didn't know we wanted or needed her, but we sure do miss her now. She immediately stole our hearts the minute we saw her. We have had many cats in the past 40 years since we have lived in this house, but I do believe that this little girl was the sweetest and best of them all!
