Journalling:
Don't ever ask me to jump off a bridge with you, as I just may do it. When Beth asked me "do you want to...?" I said "yes count me in" before I even knew what I was agreeing to. She had me signing up to do The Bloody Long Walk in November, a mere 35km walk around the streets and along the Yarra in Melbourne!

WHY WALK WHEN YOU CAN RUN

I've often asked myself this question during my training walks. It takes soooooo long to cover the distance. But I do get to actually take in more of the scenery and engage in conversation, so there are positives too I guess.

So I'm getting the training walks in, at pace. Who even knew what my walking pace was, certainly not I. Getting the kilometres in my legs and time on my feet is all important right now. Next month I'll do the Koroit to Warrnambool half marathon as a walk. Oh how I will be tempted to break into a run once the runners catch up an hour after the walkers start. It will be a good supported training walk in any case. And my training over the weeks after will gradually increase until the big 35km walk in November.

Remind me how I got myself into this pickle again? Oh yeah, Beth! Team Sole Sistas!!
