A photo from the 4th of July weekend at the reunion of the small community where my husband’s family lived. This one was taken with three of the brothers in the front yard of the house where they were all born and grew up.

Journaling: The Homesteads reunion was today and several of the brothers & sisters were up at the old home place to see old friends from the years when they all grew up there. After the festivities, the “boys” went back to the house to put in the vent covers, which Ed had made to replace the old ones. As the story goes, other than the vent covers being the original ones from 1934 . . . Ed & John had knocked holes into the screening when they were children in the early 1950’s. The holes were still there, so it was appropriate that Ed was the one who made the new ones. . . 65 years later!

I loved the way Katie arranged these new watery brushes on the cover of this new kit coming out soon . . . and decided that I would use them just exactly as she so artistically placed them and in the same colors for my layout! I think that they will be great used as individual brushes too, and plan to do another page with a couple later on.
