Mother’s Day - a day to celebrate Mothers whether they’re here on Earth or in heaven still working their magic as our Guardian Angels. And this Mother’s Day was no different. The iPad Mike gave me with a very special inscription on the back, and the pink cover for it from Andrea and Sean were wonderful gifts. But what stands out most for me were the words from Zachary and Ariana. Zachary gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers accompanied by a thoughtful and loving poem he’d written about the new role I have in his life (tucked behind this page). Ariana gave me the angel pictured above and told me a story of the significance of angels to Lisa, Lisa’s relationship with me, and her continued presence in my life. Ariana’s story made me cry a bit from the sadness of losing Lisa, my oldest daughter and Ariana and Zach’s mother, and the happiness of receiving such a wonderful reminder of Lisa’s life. It’s a Mother’s Day I will never forget. May 8, 2011
