At age 89, my dad flew to Pensacola, Florida to stay with us in our rented condo in Gulf Shores in the winter of 2005. During his visit we took him to tour the USS Alabama now on display in Mobile, AL. It gave us the opportunity to reminisce with him about his years of service in the US Navy during WWII. I am grateful for this time together, especially, since not long after this trip his health made travel difficult. He died 2 years after this photo was taken. TFL
