Another page for my ranch book….

Journaling reads:

In the cattle business longevity is king. This particular cow, tag #3, tattoo 312, otherwise known as “Spike” was born in 1992. She was the daughter of the #31 cow, lived to the ripe old age of 17 years and had 15 calves in her lifetime. Now, that is longevity! She was an amazing animal and stubborn as hell. She lived life on her terms and we were only allowed to witness it. We were proud to have been her caretakers for those years and miss her unique personality. Her gray eyelashes show that she marked many a year on the prairies of Montana, living through cold harsh winters and hot dry summers. She helped make us a living and we have many descendants of hers in our herd today. She was recognized by the American Angus Association as a Pathfinder cow, which simply means she exhibited above average production. She was one-of-a-kind, made us proud and we miss her.

Keeping my ranch pages very simple and graphic to please the men in the house!!
