a story *at the top of the stairs*
I have a file of pages which I never completed . . . they are pages which I just lost interest in and filed them away for another day! Here is one where I loved the story (I till smile when I remember our little fellow moving up the church stairs backwards with his stiff Easter shoes left on the bottom steps) . . . and sitting on top wiping tears from his eyes. All of the people sidestepping him is too funny . . . most of them stopped to offer a bit of sympathy.
Journaling: When Mark had just turned four, he stayed at our house for a week all by himself. We dressed him in his Easter suit and his new shoes for church on Sunday. After church he scurried out of the sanctuary and we found him sitting on the stairs close to the bottom, crying . . . he inched up step by step until he was almost to the top. He had abandoned his new shoes on the way up . . . they hurt his sweet little just barely four year old feet!

I enjoy the poetry for children (and for me) of A.A. Milne. I remember reading Winnie the Pooh . . . but, even though we loved the little fat bear, my children and I loved Milne's poetry even more . . . this one has long been a favorite of mine. I had to include it on this page . . . even though my page ended up quiet cluttered in my eye!
