Each winter when we go to see the swans on Magness Lake, these little guys are also there. We always have to come back home and look them up to remember their names. You think we would remember after this many years. From a distance they appear to be black and white. And then they turn into the sun and you can see the iridescent plumage on the males’ heads, glittering in shades of teal and burgundy.
