What a fabulously simple, yet fun and clever inspiration for this week's iTunes challenge on the DD blog! Thank you, Mel! And, while Mel's album cover certainly inspires a holiday vibe, I went a different direction! I did use the centered circle (duh!) but "cut" my circle in half with a sticker title instead of the banner. It was the perfect way to include the flag as part of the story without having all the "dead" space in between it and Beckie and me!
This layout was a 2-day lunch hour creation, using only a few items from the store since I didn't have my own computer and my bazillion DD supplies with me! *grin* But, how fun to scrap at lunch!
Horrible lighting and red-eye do not make for a brilliant photo, but Beckie and I were just happy to get a shot together (by the Aussie flag!) at Outback when we met for dinner. She was in town on business (from Michigan) and called to see if I was free to meet her. Um, yeah... duh! *smiley* I drove up one night after work and picked her up at her hotel in Anaheim. We went to Outback (it was close!) and had the fastest service EVER at an Outback (in CA or in MI!) but we didn’t let them push us out the door... nope, we just sat and talked and talked. (Although I think I did TOO much talking! LOL). We finally had to leave ‘cuz Beckie had to pack for her early flight home the next morning. Rats. But, I’m just so very happy we had the chance to meet up and I hope we can do it again one day!
