I have been trying to document this current stage we are in for a couple of weeks. Truth be told though, every time I have tried a tantrum has prevented it. HA! Agnieszka’s (Arte Banale) amazing page provided me with the perfect inspiration to get it scrapped during nap time!

Someone please tell me this stage passes really quickly? Wink

Thanks for looking. Smile

Journaling: My sweet, darling boy. What an age 2.5 has been for you. You are growing up so quickly and this means testing your boundaries more and more. It’s safe to say that the terrible twos are here and your Mummy and Daddy were so not prepared. It feels like it happened overnight. Literally overnight our sweet, placid and happy son was replaced with a little boy who gets frustrated so easily. And my goodness, you inherited your Mumma’s temper, you poor thing! It’s the red headed genes, I’m afraid! Little things set off the biggest tantrums. Like me saying no to a request of chocolate for breakfast. Or asking you to pass me your empty snack bowl. Or asking you to wear shoes to go outside. Sometimes I just have to look at you the wrong way and the tantrum of the decade will erupt. There are honestly days where I don’t know if I am coming or going. You thrash and kick and scream when things don’t go your way and you like to throw things. Anything. Whatever happens to be in your hand when you lose your patience. It has been a steep learning curve. You are learning all about time outs and Mummy is learning some new patience. I am certain a large part of your frustration is because you can’t express yourself properly and I’m sure you getting up at 4:30am doesn’t help matters for anyone either. But you know what? Even in the midst of some of the darkest days, you will throw me a curve ball. You will stop mid tantrum, walk up and kiss me and tell me you love me. And that’s when I know we will all be ok and make it through to the other side of the terrible twos!
