So I've never been skinny, but I did used to walk everywhere. Then in the last 10 years I've got a car, had 2 kids and I'm just not half as fit as I used to be.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. My sister's been saying for a while that she was planning to hold her wedding next February/March, but with a new baby I really didn't see it happening. Now, suddenly the hotel is booked, she knows which dress/ cake/ ring she wants. I'm chief bridesmaid and I want to look good in the pretty dress.
So this is the kickstart I need to get fit. I've got 4 months, I've got my apps and I've got the luck to live in a great town. There's a path through our local woods that is well maintained, and it's easy to work out a route to whichever length of walk you want. I've been walking after dropping Tom off at nursery for a fortnight now, and really enjoying it. Any encouragement would help:).
