Boy, this making pages on demand is tough! Hmmm, I suppose that is not something I should admit out loud when I am in a contest to be a guest CT, as I imagine one of the things a CT is supposed to do is to make pages on demand!
So, where I'm going with this is that I got stuck on the "one page using patterned paper" challenge for the October 2013 Guest CT contest. When I look at my gallery I see that I've used patterned paper in several of my layouts so it's not like patterned paper is some sort of alien concept to me. However, sitting down in front of my computer with the sole purpose of making a page that uses patterned paper? I just froze up. An interesting psychological issue, n'est-ce pas? An issue that I shall explore later...at the conclusion of the contest and once I've gotten through the "one page using 3 or more photos" challenge, where I expect I shall once again sit down in front of my computer with the sole purpose of making a page with 3 or more photos and I shall just freeze up. Sigh. Anyone else participating in this contest having this problem?
<sound of crickets chirping>
Just me then...
I was so pleased that Katie said we could re-purpose photos we've scrapped before and that we could use retired products and freebies on our contest pages (provided said products were made by designers currently with DD). I adore the editorial freebie Katie released back in 2010 and thought it went well with Maplebrook Studio's wonderful template.
Mr. Squeak has a birthday coming up soon, and our wedding anniversary is also coming up, so I thought I'd make a page that celebrates him. In the end I realized that it's always easy to scrap about something or someone you love. (Can I get an "Awwwwww!" )
