Journaling: It was a week where nothing went to plan! I had planned to spend the week prepping Poppy’s room for painting but then my back pain became unbearable and my right leg and lower back started giving out when I had to bend. I achieved pretty much nothing all week around the house. Thurs we were supposed to go pick paint colours but I couldn’t walk around much, so we had dinner and came home. Friday I saw the obstetrician and got some answers on the pain. Saturday morning we got the paint. Dylan and Ian painted while Mum, Linc and I chose carpet and took Linc to art class. Sunday we finished up painting skirting boards. Now we wait for the carpet!
We decided on a paint colour called ‘Pax Quarter’ for Miss Poppy’s room. We both loved how it turned out! Step Daddy and Mum helped Dylan with the prep and painting as I was unable to do much of anything thanks to sciatic pain. Next stop is having the new carpet installed. It will be a whole new room when it’s all finished!
21 Sep - We knew we were going to change the carpet but I had not really given it much thought beyond that. After a quick trip to the carpet store though, we had a winner!
20 Sep - I had my check up with the obstetrician. He said it sounds like all of my pain is caused by sciatica, carpal tunnel, some other condition starting with ‘s’ that I can’t remember and ligament problems. So it’s physio for me! We also confirmed Miss Poppy will be born via c-section. That gets booked next month but should be happening around the 17-19 Dec.
