Reason to Live--Throwdown
So, I'm at work at 6:00 p.m. PDT on Thursday when I remember Katie is doing a throw-down at that time. I note my boss has just left for the day, so I make a run for my desk and open up my laptop so I can join in on the fun. Because I'm at work and have only my work laptop with me, my choice of photos and digi scrap products is severely limited. I solved the product problem easily enough--I went to the DD store and bought a few new things that I really, really needed. (No, I really needed them! Really! And they were on sale! And I really needed them!) The photo dilemma was harder to solve, though. While I was thinking about what photo I might scrap, I was sitting at my desk, staring at my laptop. I had the "secret ingredient" for tonight's throw down open, a beautiful set of colored triangles. At the same time I was doing this, I was also eating a bag of candy corn, as a, um, snack. Yeah, that's what we'll call it, a snack, because we sure wouldn't want to call it dinner, nosiree! Aaaaaaaaanyway, I'm sitting at my desk eating candy corn and looking at the pretty colored triangles, eating candy corn looking at colored triangles, candy corn triangles, candycorntriangles, and suddenly I knew what I wanted to scrap.
Oh, and the page title? Okay, so while I'm sitting at my desk eating candy corn and staring at the pretty colored triangles, I am also listening to some '80's rock and roll music. (Don't judge me! ) At that moment I was listening to a song by Joe Cocker called "You Can Leave Your Hat On." The words "you give me reason to live" are lyrics from this song. So, me at work, listening to Joe Cocker, eating candy corn, looking at the pretty colored triangles, eating candy corn and thinking to myself, "Mmmm! Candy corn! How I love you so!" and now I know what I want to title my page. Doncha just love it when it all comes together?
It's late and I'm pooped so I'll be back in the morning with the credits, but everything is from DD.
Night night and thanks for stopping by!
