Journaling: 19 Weeks: I had my check up with the GP on Friday night. My BP = perfect. Poppy’s heartbeat = perfect. Poppy’s size = perfect. My thyroid levels = perfect. Poppy’s scan results = perfect. Although they did not get to see her heart and spine as clearly as they would have liked, but they are not concerned.
What a great week!! I spent some more time going through Lincoln’s baby clothes deciding what to keep and what to donate. Friday night after the doctor we went out for Noodlebox as it was Mum’s night off. I couldn’t resist going into Baskin & Robbin’s for a tub of ice cream to take home too. Hehe. Then we got a call from C to say he and B were expecting! How exciting!! Their little one is due late February. Sat. was a big day with the gender scan. Then some impromptu baby shopping and a quick lunch before heading to Linc’s art class. Sunday we went out for lunch at Xxxxxxxx for C and T’s birthday celebrations. The service was terrible! We had to wait nearly 2 hours for our food. Lincoln was so patient though and managed so well. We made a mad dash to the shops and came home and crashed!
About The Scan: I felt really strongly all week that baby was a girl. Well, turns out I was right! She tried to cross her legs again but after wiggling my butt around the room for a few minutes we got her to move enough for confirmation.
Poppy Isabelle: We had Poppy’s name chosen at 4 weeks & 4 days. I had been telling Dylan that I had read little one was the size of a poppy seed and he immediately asked how I felt about Poppy if she was a girl. I loved it and it’s been Poppy ever since! She will share her middle name with Nana W. Already she has been nicknamed Poppy-Belle though and we love it!
03/08 - Mum and Step Daddy had this ring made in Greece for me by the son of one of Mum’s friends. It’s 14K gold and pearl and an absolute one of a kind.
