Making this layout with Patties elements was SO fun, you are missed dearly Patty. I used the same shadow technique on this as on "Rain Play" because I really wanted the trees to "frame" the pictures. I took these pictures with my phone in the dark becasue I would have missed the moment if I went off to grab my camera.

Journaling: Here in the South we have bird sized mosquitos that can carry off small children and animals, which makes being outside without proper protection miserable. so we rarely go outside after the sun goes down but we still want to do fun outside kind of things. Inspiration struck in the form of a movie where they were roasting mini marshmallows over candles. We had to try it! So I wisked the kids off to Wal-mart where they had a whole cart in the middle of the isle dedicated to the making of s'mores. We loaded up on more chocolate, marshmallows and crackers than we could ever possibly use and headed home for our first ever indoor s'mores party. We used candles and covered a cookie sheet in aluminum foil to protect it from wax and took turns blackening marshmallows! They tasted a little smokey but we all had great fun!
