We had a fairly slow and relaxing week after last week’s busy schedule. Next week, Matt and Justin will be here for a few days, so I prepared for their arrival.
The mama elk and their new babies have been hiding out the last few weeks but I came across a few deer and shot a few photos of them. It is amazing how much smaller they are than elk.
My favorite page of the week was this one of my brother, Mark on the Fourth of July in 1963. My Dad would go all with the patriotic decor every year.
On Saturday, we decided to have a few friends over for a barbeque. Everyone brought what they wanted to grill and we provided everything else. I made one of our favorite summer cocktails - The Powell Breeze; vodka, lemonade, cranberry juice, a squeeze of lime and a mint leaf. It is so good and refreshing on a summer day. The weather cooperated, but we did have a small rain shower, as the monsoon season is approaching.
