Journaling: We were sitting watching tv while Lincoln played a counting app on the ipad. Next thing we heard was "wa, ooo, eee, orr, ive, shii, sev, ayy, ine, ennnnnn!” He was not only speaking (a big deal with the speech delay) but he was saying the correct number with the pictures! I won’t lie, I shed tears as he did it again and again. His favourite number at the moment is 8 and is said lots.
Lincoln can chuck some spectacular tantrums when he wants to. Thankfully they are not a very common thing. I couldn’t help but snap a photo of this one! This is real life after all!!
We had our first antenatal appt on the 19th. It was just supposed to be a routine appt. All went splendidly until the end when the midwife could not find baby’s heart beat with the doppler. She sent me off to drink lots of water and wait 1/2 hour and then we tried again. Still we could not find the heart beat. Dylan and I started to panic right about then. We were sent to the hospital for an ultrasound and sure enough, as soon as they found baby, he/she waved at us. We all breathed a massive sigh of relief! I needed a 2 hr nap!
Our week started off the best way with an ultrasound! It was so wonderful to see our little jellybean! It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they grow. Tuesday we hung out at home as I was still getting sinus headaches. Wednesday we had our antenatal appointment. It didn’t go to plan but ended with the best possible outcome! Jellybean was ok! Funnily enough, a midwife at the hospital recognised me from when Lincoln was born! Thursday the sinus headaches got worse and I did as little as possible other than play with Lincoln! Friday I declared Mum’s Night Off and we had thai takeaway for dinner! I also made an appointment to see the doctor about the headaches. Saturday we took Lincoln to his first art class and he loved it! We stopped for subway on the way home and then had to go out again for my doctor’s appointment. We then went to Mum and Step Daddy’s for dinner. Sunday we went out for brunch and then pottered about at home as I was still unwell. I unfortunately missed going to the Baby Expo with Sarah.
