My husband and I took two of our grandchildren to Washington D.C. for a week recently. We had a marvelous time . . . the children had a wonderful time . . . and DH and I loved watching them enjoy each other and the sights, smells and history of our National Capitol for six days. They loved it, but the two of us were blessed. I am making a book for each of them . . . these two pages are the second pair completed.

Journaling: The first thing we did after arriving in Washington was to walk to the mall. James and Mary Paul collapsed on the grass, which was still littered with debris from the Memorial Day celebrations. They were amazed at all of the people playing soccer and frisbee . . . and, of course were awed by the beauty of the United State Capitol building. Mary Paul took dozed of photos with her momís iPad Mini.
