Lincoln Memorial 2013 [Sat ScrapLift]
This page is for todays Saturday Scraplift on the DD blog. We are lifting the darling Please Pose layout made by Julie aka MaggieMae.
My husband and I took two of our grandchildren to Washington D.C. for a week recently. We had a marvelous time . . . the children had a wonderful time . . . and DH and I loved watching them enjoy each other and the sights, smells and history of our National Capitol for six days. They loved it, but the two of us were blessed. I am making a book for each of them . . . these two pages will be the first pages I have made, but not the first two pages of the book.
Journaling: There were so many people here today! It was hard for me to get a photograph of the two of you alone by the statue of President Lincoln. You were both hot, tired and wanted a nice cool drink. Papa had already been up to the monument and was down at the bottom of the steps talking to a man he found who had been in Vietnam the same time he was there.
