Tom loves dragging a dining chair over to the sink to stand and wash dishes. I usually bring out the plastic plates as he can be a bit enthusiastic! Here in Scotland we call playing with water like this 'skiddling'.
I used color burn on the 'love this boy', one of my favourite blending modes. I love the fun effect if your brush overlaps several colours. I also used color burn on the frame from the freebie so it blended in more with the background.
The 'adorable' is a wood veneer word, I changed the blending mode to color dodge, this removed all the colour.
The harlequin geometric hint brush looked too light against the background paper, so I set it to linear burn, to darken it a bit.
Finally, the misted hearts in the corner. I used pink for them originally, taking the colour from the artsy paint. I didn't like that, so I cycled through the blending modes, and came to exclusion which produced the perfect teal colour!
What can I say, I love playing with blending modes, loved this challenge:).
