There is a strange car in front of our house fairly often these days. Driven by a boy. And I have a feeling that I’m going to have to get used to this for a long time. Emily has a boyfriend. And it’s a bit of a trip for me as a mother. It’s one of those “Whoa” moments of parenthood for sure. The good news is that we all really like him and I think he makes Emily very happy. He’s certainly been a good mentor to her, a good friend to her, and he certainly respects her. I just try not to look at how his entire face lights up when he looks at her because that’s a bit freaky. My baby is growing up. For real. I'm happy for her. Just a wee bit freaked out at the same time. Freshman Year | March 29, 2013 | name hidden
