mother's furniture 01
I have been taking photos of some of the old furniture from our family and thought that I would put together a few pages with them.
Journaling: Mother and Daddy bought this bedroom suite in 1941 just after they married. Mother said many years later that she could have bought antique furniture for much less money, but that after the depression and the war that she wanted everything new. The bedroom never changed so long as mother and daddy lived in the Maple Street house. After Daddy died, Mother lived alone for a few years and later she moved in with Aunt Velma and took her bedroom furniture to the house on Douglas Street. There she used one of Aunt Velma’s pretty bright & cheerful quilts.
