Because I feel safe in my DD bubble I will post this photograph of me after the fun run. Sweaty me in lycra ... should be rated PG! ha


I really must work on my "post race" dorky faces, or ensure Mike stops snapping the camera at every little move and waits until I look composed! I think I was flushed from the fact I did it, totally exhausted and finished on adrenaline at that stage.

Journalling:
I never thought I would be able to use the term “runner” as a description of me, and yet now it is. I ran. I loved it. I was exhausted. I was elated. Mike was incredibly proud of me and snapped this photograph as I came over the finish line. I was proud of myself. My first ever timed fun run and now I have a PB, a time to beat. I really am now a runner.
