Polar Express pg 5

Journaling reads: As we chug through the darkness........the lights of the North Pole glow in the distance. Brody asked "Is it real?" (Truth be told.....it looked like Santa was waiting in a small RV decorated with lights to look like the North Pole!! The adults in the party really got a laugh from that!!)

Polar Express pg 6

Journaling reads: Santa entered the train...........”the bells were ringing, it was a magical sound, like I had never heard before.” (Quote taken from the Polar Express Book)

We traveled to the "North Pole" with my co-worker, her husband and 2 small children the weekend of Thanksgiving. We boarded a train outside of Lewistown, MT and traveled east for a few miles, passing over a huge trestle and arriving at the North Pole. The children were given cookies and hot chocolate. Elves handed out paper and crayons so you could make your Christmas List and hand it to Santa when he passed through the train car. We boarded at dusk and it was snowing, huge giant snowflakes. When we arrived at the North Pole, Santa boarded the train and visited with every child and took their Christmas list back to his workshop with him. All I can say was it was truly magical.
