From our recent trip to Washington DC

Our trip to Washington DC was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. Every day was very full of activities and we were going from sunup to sundown. We flew to Washington DC on August 16 and that evening we walked around and saw the different monuments. We got up early on August 17 and we went to the national art museum. in the afternoon we went to the Washington DC temple. August 18 we started our day at what became our favorite place to eat, Cosi. We ate our breakfast while waiting to go on a tour of Ford's Theatre. We then had a tour of the Whitehouse and finished up the day at the National History Museum. August 19 was Sunday and we started out for Arlington Cemetary. Unfortunately, we got hit by a downpour and didn’t get to see much of the cemetary because we had to go back to our hotel, change clothes and start our day again. We mostly just walked around and took photos, but also spent a bit of time at the museums. August 20 we spent most of our day driving to Monticello and touring the home of Thomas Jefferson. On August 21 we toured the Holocaust Museum and later that evening Mike, Thomas and Olivia went to a National’s baseball game. The 22nd we spent the day travelling home.
