f2.8
I think the main reason I wanted my first dslr camera was to be able to attach a fast lens and achieve a pretty blurred background. I love trying out this technique during the holidays. Just place the subject in front of Christmas lights, set a wide aperture, snap away, and the lights render as beautiful glowing spheres. I used my trusty f2.8 24-70 for this shot. But as Dec. 25 approaches, you might hear me singing “All I want for Christmas is f1.4!”
