I'm beginning my Daily December pages just as I do each year . . . hope I can continue them throughout the month! When the season gets busy . . . I get behind!

Journaling: Ed asked Sonny to go on a little road trip over the weekend. Then they decided to see if Burell could come along too . . . so on Friday the three of them took off for parts unknown. They got home today just in time to watch the Alabama vs. Georgia SEC championship game which was being played in Atlanta. When they got here, Burell was a bit under the weather. It seems that he has motion sickness, but didn’t tell Ernie or Sonny . . . poor Burell. He felt better alter getting out of the car and walking around. They went to the cabin and watched the first half of the game . . . and then came to the house for a bowl of the vegetable-beef soup I had made a couple of weeks ago. Burell just had a Sprite! The rest of the game was just as the first half . . . nip & tuck . . . a barnburner back-and-forth second half went to the wire and the Tide survived by winning 32 to 28 for one of the best games we have seen in a long time! Now it is on to Miami for the Championship game against Notre Dame on January 7th. Bess and Doug went to the game in Atlanta today . . . I’d take bets that at least Doug will go to Miami next month too. While they were gone, I worked a little more on the mess in our attic before settling down to watch the game. Just before the game started Michael, James and Henry came to get some firewood to have a hot dog roast on the new fire pit which Michael built in their back yard . . . this was to be a late birthday for James as I understood it from the birthday boy himself.
