Last weekend I took on a mini challenge and well you can read the journalling. Lets just say it's taken near on a week for me to be able to walk without wincing. All good now ready for the next mountain to climb. Page 2 of a 2 page spread.

Journalling on page 1:
I’ve been really fortunate to meet up with a group of girls from Warrnambool who are on the 12wbt journey also, and Jane thought up a wild and crazy mini-challenge idea to take on the Crater Peak Climb at Tower Hill. The craziness extended to climbing up and down it not only once, but FOUR TIMES!!! And I’m so proud of myself that I did it. We handed the camera to a tourist at the start of the climb to take our photograph and told him what we were planning. He snapped the photo and told us we were nuts. We may have been, but we were eager to push our bodies to the limit. At times I ran, I mostly walked, and I swear there were moments I nearly crawled, it was so steep, the mixture of stairs and paved pathways. I did realise at one point I had the speed (but perhaps not the grace) of an Olympic sprinter when I almost stumbled on a snake sunning itself on the side of the trail, I took off running, with arms waving madly yelling “snake snake”! And as my friend Jane quite rightly pointed out, Tower Hill is classed as a dormant volcano, it’s not extinct. It was quite the challenge to know we were taking on a volcano. In our heads (being the thrill seekers we were) we figured at any time it could have gone up like Vesuvius!! Well that’s our story and we’re sticking to it. We came, we climbed, we smashed it.
