Okay, I’ll admit it. I watch Star Trek. Actually, all of us do. By the time, we were going on our DC trip, all six of us had watched the entire series of both TNG and Voyager. We’d also started on Enterprise and Deep Space 9. So when I learned that the U.S.S. Enterprise model, used in the filming of the original Star Trek TV series, was on display in the Air and Space Museum store, it seemed like an obvious stop. Mark was the only one of us who actually watched the original series but it was still interesting to view part of television history. Or play with rocks. Whatever works.
PS Just for the record, none of us have ever been to a Star Trek convention. We don’t spleak Klingon or wear Vulcan ears. Mark does have a phaser, but it was a gift. Honest.
