As January bled into February the week was fairly ordinary but Kelly’s Baklava made the week one to remember. I assisted a Middle-Eastern themed class which featured Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Mahoumarra, Falafel, Fish in Tahini Sauce & the aforementioned Balklava. I have always shied away from this honeyed overly sweet dessert, but Kelly’s was amazing - flaky phyllo and a subtly sweet filling balanced with candied citrus and spices. An “orgasm in the mouth” - as one woman said. I would not have verbalized that, but “Orgasmic Baklava” it is....
