Project 52 Week 33 What a difference 60 days makes.

This photo was taken at the same spot as the smaller inset photo...only 60 days later. The conditions are BLEAK. The heavy smoke is really effecting our air quality. Our prolonged drought continues with ZERO moisture since May and so many days over 100 degrees that I have lost count. We had a fire north of Billings last week that grew overnight from 5,000 acres to over 30,000 acres ( It is now contained). Over 650,000 acres have burned in the US this summer. The grass is gone and we continue with the hard decisions of keeping or selling cattle.

Quote reads. "The warm air in the upper atmosphere traps smoke and the smell close to the ground. It's like a lid on the atmosphere." Bob Wimmer
