My friend lives in a little fishing village on the east coast of Scotland and the community have built a skiff and started a rowing club. They have started to race this summer but usually are last - we cheered them on recently when they were racing another two crews who are much more experienced and they came in second or second last depending on whether you are a glass empty or glass full type of person - in my book they were a very deserving second!
