I had a lot of fun with this one. On one of our 'girls nights out' I was thinking about our similarities (or not) with the girls from Sex and the City. I'm really lucky to have a group of friends, that we all get on so well with, plus our husbands all get on well too, which is a plus!

Journalling:

We may not go to the hottest restaurants in town. Heck, there are NO restaurants in town, save for the two pubs sometimes full of shearers and old men!
We may not drink Cosmopolitans, but the kettle is always on for an excuse for a cuppa and a chat.
We may not attend the latest openings, ha! just about everything here shuts at 12noon on a Saturday.
We may not talk about our sexual exploits,
let’s face it we each have a “Mr.Big” in our lives, but more often than not we’re bitching about him to each other (in a nice way of course!!)
We may not wear designer fashion, we’re usually reaching for the warmest spencer and it’s a good day if clothes are not covered in dog hair!
We may not have Manolo Blahniks, high heels are ditched in favour of woolly socks and gum boots. There’s nothing worse than cold feet.
We may not be part of the ‘social set’, conversation usually revolves around the kids, their schools, peeps in town, Lisa’s farm, the chook shows, knitting, and all manner of mind boggling subjects.
We may not be the girls from Sex & the City, but we’re the girls for each other, loyal to the end.
Always available when there’s an SOS call ... “Friday night? Dinner and movies? I need to get away” and we’ll be there to make our escape for some girl time.
We’ve been through births, deaths and marriages, and everything in between.
We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and laughed again.
We may not be Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. But we are Carol, Jen, Michelle and Lisa. And we are SATC Mortlake Style!
